On Friday, Jan. 25 at IDEX Premiere in Orlando, Fla.,Wisakecah by Creations of Mysticism by Artisan Kassity Allisonwas awarded the 2008 Doll of the Year® (DOTY®)Industry’s Choice® award.
Kassity Allison was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She now lives on a small horse breeding ranch with her husband in the United States. Kassity has been artistic her entire life and is a self-taught artisan in all of her art forms. She has been featured in many magazines and on internet web-sites. She has been working in the field of arts for over thirty years. In that time she has sold in Galleries, Marketing Arts, and has been commissioned by establish organizations. Ducks Unlimited commissioned her to paint a portrait of the common loon. Lithographic reproduction prints where created from this painting in 1990. Harp Seals Organization offers prints of Kassity’s drawing “Faces”, a Harp Seal pup,on their web site. She has been commissioned by many private collectors throughout the years for paintings, sculptures, and other art forms. She has had marketable lithographic reproduction prints on the market for over twenty five years and has sold many original paintings and sculptures.
At present Kassity has been working in the field of sculpture and 3D arts forms. Which include artist bears, sculptured figurative dolls, mystical creatures, and dragons using polymer clays and air dry clays.
